Alpacas of Tranquility was started in 2001 - and we have enjoyed this business. Each year we
have looked forward to the new crias that have been born and watching them grow. The
immense satisfaction of seeing the beautiful fiber during the shearing - and knowing that it is
the result of the careful attention given to their nutrition and health. The friends that we have
made from the sale of alpacas - and knowing that they remain healthy and are being used for
breeding - and that their fiber is winning ribbons in the shows that they are entering - all of
this has been so rewarding.
The industry has grown by leaps and bounds - and it is not finished yet. The fiber industry is
just in its infancy stages - mills are being built all over the United States - and with the
renewed interest in "American made" products, there is every reason to believe that with the
growth of alpaca farms throughout the United States the best is yet to come.
After 11 years in the alpaca business, we are now in a position to retire - and it opens up an
opportunity to anyone who has seriously been interested in starting this business but who
has been unable up to this point - to do so. We are offering our compete herd of 100%
